Vera Sacrifice
My story about the name Vera is dedicated to my old modern teacher Vera Sander at University HfMT Cologne. Because of her cruel ghosting, I still have PTSD and consider myself a survivor.First and foremost, I must remark that my class (2004-2008) was arguably the worst the school has ever had. We were all extremely brilliant, but had terrible attitudes and lacked cohesiveness. Our class was divided into many groups, including Turkish, Russian, Ecos (more modern), and those who attended a more exclusive ballet school and were more focused on classical ballet technique. I was in the last group because I had come from Palucca and Cod Arts. When Vera first arrived at our school, she held a test class in which we students voted on who would be our new professor. She chose to wear a t-shirt with a red star. It was a clear indication of the direction she would take the school. She chose to push the Ecos, the most modern dancers, while leaving the others behind. Personally, I believe that being straight and discussing sexuality would improve my connection with her. Because I am not, I received a strong homophobic vibe from her. She also had a heated argument with our gay classical instructor, Fernando Coehlo, and gay modern teacher, Massimo Geradi. They quit the school and currently teach at Palucca. During my two years in her class, she disregarded me, leaving me as the group's symptom carrier. To get my graduation, I had to escape out of her hitting range. I achieved that by transitioning from the left half of the room to the right, where Gabriela was dancing. Then Gabriela had to take my side and became the symptom.I had to make a huge sacrifice to earn my diploma. Ignorance may be a harsh kind of communication, particularly for those with ADHD. In my final year of university, I prayed every night that I would make it through, and I did. What's your story about PTSD and the name Vera?
